While the main thing about the Grammys is finding out which artist’s latest work has helped them take home awards for categories like Best New Artist, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year, the real highlights come via the performances that take place throughout the night of the ceremony.
This year was no different, with a mix of solo acts, groups, & unlikely collaborations taking the stage at some point. Perhaps the best of them all had to be the Dua Lipa and St. Vincent performance of the former’s “One Kiss” after the latter’s “MASSEDUCTION.” They were styled to kind of look the same and they’re women at the top of the game in their respective genres… That was pretty much it when it came down to clear similarities, but when they came together there was some special chemistry there that must be watched to really do it justice. You also can’t go wrong with an Annie Clark solo, regardless of genre.
