Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler have returned as The Raconteurs after a decade of absence, sharing a pair of new tracks. The group have unleashed their songs “Sunday Driver” and “Now That You’re Gone,” both of which have arrived today with accompanying music videos directed by Steven Sebring and Dikayl Rimmasch, respectively.
The first track is a great classic rock jam, led by a dynamic guitar riff escorted by a buzzy bass lick that together will get your feet stomping. “Gone” is my favorite of the two, with a bluesy foundation and fittingly melancholic lyrics about love lost. This the kind of song you want to listen to in a dark dive bar when things turn to shit; that’s my kinda comfort place.
