We last saw Jorja Smith here in Seattle selling out a 650-cap venue with ease. This go-around, she was booked to perform the Seattle leg of her 2018 North American tour at Showbox Sodo. To no one’s surprise, 1,800 fans sold out and packed the concert venue as they eagerly awaited the return of London’s R&B star fresh off her debut album, “Lost & Found”.
It’s clear why her fanbase continues to grow. She’s collaborating with the biggest names in music, as she’s featured on Drake’s 2017 project, “More Life”, and also has her own hit in Kendrick Lamar’s 2018 Black Panther album. Yet, there’s no features in her first studio album, and for a reason. It’s her own original voice, raw and emotional as anyone out there, that has given her a seat at the table.
