Paramore came into town this holiday week with their After Laughter Summer 2018 Tour, a year after a brilliant headlining slot at the previous Riot Fest. This time around, Hayley Williams and company hit Chicago to deliver a stunning set that delivered on all fronts for fans of the band.
Paramore were supporting their latest album, After Laughter, playing emotive renditions of cuts like”Pool,” “26,” and “Fake Happy.” Along with the latter, some of the other live AF highlights were the stellar single “Hard Times” and “Rose-Colored Boy,” which included a mini cover of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” The setlist included fan-favorites like “Still Into You” and “Crushcrushcrush,” before finishing up with “Misery Business” and “Ain’t It Fun.”
Special guests Foster the People were fun themselves, throwing in a cover of The Ramones’ iconic “Blitzkrieg Bop.” Fans went wild for “Pumped Up Kicks” and swayed for “Sit Next To Me.”
