The Internet turned heads when they came back with “Roll (Burbank Funk)” and now they’re building on top of this hype by detailing their forthcoming fourth album, HIVE MIND, due out July 20th, 2018 on Columbia Records. Along with that, they’ve shared a new cut from the project.
“Come Over” saw its debut as Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats 1 on Apple Music today, and now available for streaming.
HIVE MIND was written and produced entirely by The Internet, and it is result of the band’s first collective piece after its members worked on solo efforts. Opening up in a press release, Syd said:
“After making a few songs we realized that we really want to use this album to live by example and promote camaraderie amongst young black people… We realized that we’re the only band of our kind. And we want to really solidify ourselves as that, as the best.”
