Empire has held quite a few very cool showcases over the years we’ve attended SXSW and this year was no different. I managed to check out two showcases at Empire Garage this time around. The first showcase I was able to check out was the Neon Gold showcase which featured sets by Wallows and Cloves. I was originally only going to attend for Cloves’ set, who was one of our top 12 acts to see at SXSW, but I got there early enough to take in Wallows’ entire set. Both were really impressive and I would definitely do my best to catch them whenever they make their way to Chicago.
