Chicago rapper Cmoveywave has always been one to ride his own wave, and he does just that on his latest single. “Back Up” is backed by a hard beat produced NO30 with Cmoneywave gassing himself up while telling his haters to keep their opinions to themselves.
He turns tragedies into triumphs, which he expresses in the first verse saying, “I been turned down so much, that it almost made me give up/But that would mean I lost and they finally get what they want/Fuck that shit, I’m turning nothing into something.” He continues to flex throughout the track with his lyrical abilities and punchlines saying, “Make my own wave/So much of it I carry the boats,” all while proving his doubters wrong in the process.
