Chicago rapper Ridgio just celebrated his birthday, but he decided to be the one to do the gift-giving by dropping his “Twęnty łłł Wįntęrs” EP. The project his is first since his ‘World of Dreams” album dropped last year, and it serves as an exceptional follow up and displays the young rapper’s growth as an artist.
Ridgio showcases his versatility on the project as well, rapping over both slower-paced, more emotive producton, such as stand out track “My Head,” and aggressive, sinister trap beats, performed expertly on “Be Cool.” Throughout the project, Ridgio flexes his skill as a rapper by dropping braggadocios bars, (or as he says in “Riddling,” he’s “just being honest”), while also making himself vulnerable and displaying his insecurities of making the best of his mistakes on the aforementioned “My Head,” as well as penultimate track “You Got It.”
