A Stefan Ponce solo project is finally a reality! The dope, GRAMMY-nominated producer known for his work with artists like Childish Gambino, Chance The Rapper, and Vic Mensa, Ponce is venturing out on his own now and today’s he’s delivered the first taste of his debut album.
Ponce is previewing that solo work with the release of the lead single, “Super Star.” For this one, Stefan Ponce recruited theMind, Julian Bell, Micah Freeman, and KYLE. The song is a 70s era Funk-styled offering with a cheerful backbeat that would’ve made Curtis Mayfield proud.
The debut project is titled The Boy Who Fell From Earth and it is due out for release later this year. Hear “Super Star” below.
