The press release this morning said it best… “SURPRISE ! HOLY F@#$KING SH&T!” That’s right, Foo Fighters are back, baby! The legendary Rockers have made a surprise return today releasing a new song called “Run,” along with its music video.
The anthemic track, their first new Foo Fighters music since the band gifted fans with the free Saint Cecilia EP in late 2015, is a real force to be reckoned with and I can easily see this being the Rock song of the summer! It’s got this energy that’ll make you headbang till your neck gives out, but at least you’ll still be holding up those devil horns.
The music video was directed by lead singer Dave Grohl, and it features the band as old folks kicking some serious ass performing for their peers at the retirement home. The crowd responds as well anyone should when seeing awesome Foo performance… Lookout for the “Thriller”-like choreography at the end. Low-key, I’ve always hated the thought of getting old… but if this is what my future looks like, then my opinion on this whole aging thing has completely changed.
Check out the video, which is as good any classic visual they’d released in the past, above and see some cover art for the song and video below.
