10 Underrated Rap Songs of June

2Chainz, DJ Khaled, and even Young Thug decided to drop music this month taking over the industry every week. Often times, when many high profile artists drop music lesser known acts slide under the radar without the proper attention they deserve. Being that June was again a great month for rap, here are 10 rap songs that may have flew under your radar and need to be played before we close the door on June 2017. Listen below!

Fake Love – BIGBODYFIJI (Prod. by Dexter)

2017 is BigBodyFiji’s year and he continued his reign this June by dropping another EP. Fake love was one of my favorites off the project, as Fiji’s energy compliments the fire beat provided by Dexter. Make sure to play this as loud as possible at your next summer BBQ.

2 Of A Kind – AKTHESAVIOR

One half of The Underachievers decided to bless us with new music this month and it goes crazy. AktheSavior has been giving us great music for awhile and June continued his hot streak with this song. I’m excited for whatever else he gives us in 2017.

Bimmer – Drayco McCoy (Prod. by Captain Crunch x OogieMane)

First, s/o Captain Crunch Beats x Oogieman for making this ridiculous beat. After that, Drayco takes it from there making this track a straight hit.

KOMPANY – Smino & Phoelix (Prod. by Monte Booker)

Smino’s flow on this is incredible, mixed with Monte Booker’s beat and Phoelix contributions makes this one of the best songs of the summer. Let’s also take a moment to realize Monte Booker is high key one of the best producers out and has paved his own lane in the game. The Zero Fatigue takeover is upon us.

Don’t Stop – Wu-Tang Clan

Wu-Tang is back this month with one of the best tracks from the group this year. Each member on this track spazzes out, giving quotables on quotables with each bar. My favorite comes from Method Man who raps: “While I’m aging like fine wine, you internet thuggin somebody timeline”. Years later this group still can’t be stopped.

Growth – Ausar (Prod. by Plainro)

Ausar dropped a dope EP this month named “Growth” and he does all of that, reaching new heights in music career on this one. He has created his own lane for himself, as his music is often positive and gives you relatable messages each time. Paired with his flow, lyrics, and delivery, big things seem to be on the horizon for him.

VVS – Jose Franco (Prod. by Linus)

S/o Linus for this beat, as it almost blew out my bass when I played this in the car. Jose then comes in giving you the most swagged out bars to elevate this song to new heights. ” All I ever wanted was diamonds since I was a little kid” will be stuck in your head for days after listening to this. Go check out his full EP “Back Across the Border” as its one of my favorite of 2017.

PAYLOAD – Kami (Prod. by Ikaz Boi)

It feels like I’ve putting Kami on almost every monthly list in 2017 so far and for good reason as he keeps out putting out quality work.  June was no different, as Kami decided to give us more new music with the “Superstar” EP. This track specifically was my favorite off the project, as Ikaz Boi and Kami pair up to make a great song to play all summer.

Trap Check – 2 Chainz (Prod. by Buddah Bless)

Right from the intro that samples Jeezy off of “Get Ya Mind Right” you know Buddah Bless and 2Chainz have given us a classic. The beat, paired with 2Chainz voice is incredible and the beat switch at the end elevates this song to 10/10. 2chainz is a living legend.

Gang (Who Are You?) – UG Vavy (Prod. by UG Vavy)

UG Vavy’s June has been one for the ages as he released “Preheat 0.5″ and this new song on top of it. Like always, UG is behind this fire beat and matches it with the bars to to put out another quality song. He’s one of the catchiest artists in the city and theres no stopping him anytime soon.
