Hola Chola Chicago Pop Up Shop Recap

Let us fill you in on what you missed out if you forgot to RSVP for this past Sunday’s Hola Chola Pop Up Shop that took place at the National Museum of Mexican Art. The event was created to celebrate the designs of Susanna Gonzalez Torres of Hola Chola. Susanna is currently on tour throughout different cities selling her designs and making exclusive pieces for each city. If you made it out, you were able to get your nails done with a flare inspired by the Mexican culture from the good people at Hush Salon. As you walked into the function, you were able to see some old school lowriders provided by Neighborhood Legends and Streetwise Car Club. It was the perfect spot to get your Instagram stunting on. Throughout the night, Latnix and old school tunes were provided by our own homie, Freddy Phatz who kept the dance floor busy throughout the event. Drinks were inspired by your local Southside Mexican paleteria, La Michoacana who provided the mixers for the Hennessy X Agua Fresca de Pina, Hennessy X Agua Fresca de Fresa and of course Hennessy X Horchata. The good people at Cold Chillen provided the awesome designs and graphics including the menus and invites. During the event, Susanna gave an inspirational speech on how the Mexican Culture influenced her designs and how her hardships and travels throughout Mexico have led her to her present situation.
