For our last day at SXSW 2017 we decided to get education on so we headed over to the convention center to take in some panels by some of the brightest and dopest minds in the industry. We started the day off with Zane Lowe speaking on the enduring importance of radio, and how it has evolved throughout the generations. We followed that by checking out the gawd Nardwuar who dropped some gems about how to prep for and conduct dope interviews (I even got to do the “Doot Doo” pose with him!).
The penultimate panel we attended included Snoop Dogg advocating for criminal justice reform, joining Weldon Angelos, Vikrant Reddy (Charles Koch Institute), and Mark Holden (Koch Industries) in a group conversation. Finally, we got to see Sway interview T.I., who had was showing us his new short film in which he plays multiple characters that all get affected by a police officer shooting a black child.
