Day 3 of SXSW 2017 was packed with dope showcases throughout downtown Austin, which helped give us that much more to choose from regardingĀ the artists we’d want to see for the night… but that also made it so much more difficult to decide on an action plan because the lineups were insane pretty much everywhere, so having to choose the rightĀ showcaseĀ carried so much more weight.
ButĀ that’s when it helps to have a squad in ATX, so while I went over to the House Of Vans/Fake Shore Drive showcase at the Mohawk that boasted a stacked lineup of some of Chicago’s best talent plus French Montana headlining, Alex and Alberto (AKAĀ @CharroBarkley) made their way to Easy Tiger for TuneIn’s that featured none other than Dipset’s own, Cam’ron!
Take a look at the highlights of Day 3 of SXSW below.
I’ve got to say this… Shout outs to our homie Andrew Barber and the Fake Shore Drive team for their show with House Of Vans. This showcase worked as a vivid representation that Chicago stays winning and that our city has some dope artistsĀ that offer sounds of all kinds, and it allowed attendees to get a taste of just how rich in talent our scene really is.
Oh yeah, and I know my ASAP Rocky pics are blurry… butĀ if you would’ve been in that crowd when weĀ saw him surprisingly emerge on the stage, then you’d understand how lit that place instantly got, which means there’s no room for steady photography! At that moment all I cared about was capturing the moment, and it manifested as a blurry visual, which is as close to the reality of the scene as anything else could be.
