The Districts are making their POD debut today, making their first appearance on our pages thanks to their new song “Ordinary Day.” The band is a four-piece coming out of Philly, releasing their first bits of new material since their 2015 album, A Flourish and a Spoil.
There’s something cool and gritty about this band, and their brand of anthemic angst sits very well flowing into my ears as it reminds me of what it’s like to crave some release. Hear the new song below.
The Districts are currently putting the finishing touches on a new album coming out later this year via Fat Possum.

Next month, the band will begin playing the songs from their forthcoming project live for the first time at select shows around SXSW before heading on an April headline run. A European tour will follow in May including a stop at The Great Escape. The band will also perform at Osheaga in Montreal in August. A full list of dates is below with more to be announced soon.
