As Chicago watched Chance the Rapper win multiple Grammys last night, another rapper is currently putting his city on the map as well. That man is Cousin Stizz, one of the east coast’s most talented artists hailing from Boston. Although Boston is only hours away from the hip-hop mecca of NY, it has not seen a prominent rapper in some time. Stizz is on his way to changing that, releasing two of the best Mixtapes in the past few years with Suffolk County and Monda. Not to mention the co-signs he’s gained along the way from Drake who danced to one of his songs during his birthday party to GOOD Music President Pusha T. There’s no denying that its only a matter of time till Cousin Stizz blows up nationwide, as he has the flows, the bars, and ear for beats to make it to the top. This song is a hit and clearly shows how genius Cousin Stizz is at creating hooks. I promise “Your name ain’t ringing no bells boy” will be stuck in your head for days.

The infamous Drake co-sign track and for good reason as Stizz goes crazy over this dope beat. His wordplay, flows, and overall bars are at top levels on this, showcasing how great of an overall rapper this guy is.

I play this song every time I’m in my car, as the build up to the hook was one of the best moments in music of 2016. Not to mention the music video for this, which turns this song into a 10/10 and my favorite song by him.
