Metallica took over Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night with an appearance that included performances, panel interview, and a game of band trivia with a superfan. The band hit the stage to play new track “Atlas, Rise!” along with classic fan-favorite “For Whom The Bell Tolls,” off Ride The Lightning.
For the interview portion, James Hetfield, Lars Urlich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo opened up about why it took them 8 years to release a new album, their children’s disinterest in their legendary band, and how they came up with their with their band logo.
