Jack White has released a fresh cut off his forthcoming album, Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016. This time we hear White go to The Raconteurs’ catalog, offering an “Acoustic Mix” of “Carolina Drama.” While the original is a heavy, dirty Blues delight, the acoustic rendition feels so much more gruesome and desolate. The storytelling now seems so much more personal, as if White was more of an onlooker than someone who’s retelling it. It’s spine-tingly goodness!
