The Strokes have delivered their new music video for their charming track, “Threat Of Joy.” Premiering on Noisey, the visuals directed by Warren Fu start off with the solo from “Oblivius” and then cuts to Fu being abducted by some clean-cut mysterious people were on a mission to end production on that song’s own video.
The video is cinematic in its weird storytelling, with pig-faced leaders plotting on how to recover the footage from the other music video with a mystery lady holding “the truth” in an unlabeled reel. From the looks of this one, it looks like there could be a series of videos for the EP that will all be connected to tell one big overarching story a la McBain on The Simpsons.
Look out for Julian’s sweet dance moves!
