Yeah Yeah Yeahs back! The band finally returned after going on hiatus following the release and consequent tour of 2013’s Mosquito. Last night the band made a surprise appearance at New York’s Dream Hotel to perform at a Tribeca afterparty for the Mick Rock documentary SHOT! The Psycho-Spiritual Mantra of Rock.
The trio were joined by Money Mark and TV on the Radio’s Jaleel Bunton as they performed “Moonage Daydream” (David Bowie cover) and “Perfect Day” (Lou Reed cover). As if that wasn’t enough, the band subbed in Marky Ramone to play a live rendition of The Ramones’ “Sheena Is a Punk Rocker.” See this last clip above and scroll to find more footage from that set.
