This has been a big week for fans of POD fave Chance The Rapper, who was busy by dropping his magnificent new video for “Angels,” unveiling limited edition hats he designed for the Chicago White Sox, and then throwing out the first pitch at the Sox home opener. Chance wasn’t done there, as he capped off the week with a concert at the iconic Chicago Theatre for Power 92’s 15-year anniversary.
In a show that also boasted sets from Lil Bibby, Dreezy, and Famous Dex, Chano’s homecoming concert was the place to be as he delivered yet another performance that fans won’t soon forget. Uncharacteristically of us, POD wasn’t in the building for this one but lucky for us the Internet came through with some footage that at least gives us a glimpse at what we missed out. Shout out Elliot Monte (next time, shoot in landscape mode bruh lol)!
Among the highlights include a lively performance of “Ultralight Beam,” shown above, that gets taken to a whole other level thanks to the powerful backing of a full choir and The Social Experiment.
Below you’ll find other stand-out cuts like a live collab with BJ The Chicago Kid of “Church,” “Baby Blue,” a jazzy rendition of Towkio’s “Heaven Only Knows,” and more. Hit the jump and enjoy!
