The Weeknd was also on the bill at last night’s broadcast of the Academy Awards, where he performed his hit song “Earned It.” The performance saw the Canadian star in his suit & tie surrounded by tastefully scantily-clad dancers, scored by a string section.
The song off the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack was nominated for Best Original Song, but it ultimately lost to Sam Smith’s Spectre tune “Writing’s On the Wall.”
