On the same day that she graces the cover of the RedEye, Eryn Allen Kane now has released her latest project Aviary: Act II. Now that her debut project is complete, it’s fair to see her propelled to even greater heights thanks to a collection of songs that will give you life like few things out there can.
Act II brings a whole new collection of songs, off which we had only heard the powerful protest song “How Many Times.” Our early assessment of Act II is that it’s an excellent counterpart to Act I. This batch complements the original four by bringing forth Eryn’s more soulful side, drawing from Gospel and early R&B, sounding like a contemporary of Aretha and Stevie Wonder. I’ll tell you this much, put these Aviary EPs together and you’ve got yourself one of the dopest records of the year.

Available at Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and Soundcloud.
The sold-out Aviary release show will take place at Chicago’s City Winery on Friday, February 19th and we’re glad to say we’ll be present for this one. Next month, Eryn will hit the road for a mini US tour that will see the songstress stop in cities like New York City, Philadelphia, and Atlanta before heading to Austin for SXSW.
