Today’s been a busy day for everyone’s #WCE. Early in the day Rihanna’s collaboration with Drake, “Work,” surfaced online to much fanfare but things only went up (way up [ha!]) from there. Later on this evening someone on the TIDAL camp OK’d/mistakenly made the stream of Rihanna’s eighth studio album go live, days ahead of its secretly scheduled Friday release. It was available for streaming briefly but as the streaming service’s people got hip to the news, it was taken down.
To stay ahead of the mess, Riri just released it and made it available on Tidal now! Not only that, but the record has been made available as a free download for a limited time by Rihanna herself. See more details below.

The album was executive produced by Kanye West and funnily doesn’t include any of the supposed singles that she released throughout 2015, like “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “FourFiveSeconds” (below), and “American Oxygen.”
According to Fader, this release is the 13-track standard edition and a deluxe edition with three bonus tracks will be available on January 29 via Tidal. The album will reportedly be available exclusively on Tidal for a week.
According to Pitchfork, some of the features and contributions on the project include The Weeknd (“Woo”), Timbaland (“Yeah, I Said It”), The-Dream (“Woo”), Travis Scott (“Woo”), DJ Mustard (“Needed Me”), Hit-Boy (“Woo”), PARTYNEXTDOOR (“Work”), and Boi-1da (“Work”), among others. Track number 9 is a cover of Tame Impala’s “New Person, Same Old Mistakes.”
