Nap Eyes have shared their latest Thought Rock Fish Scale cut, titled “Roll It.” The follow-up to excellent to the Nova Scotian band’s lead single “Mixer” follows in that same roots-y vibe that first caught our attention, but this one’s faster tempo leans more Folk than Pop. The bustling track really gets your foot tapping until just before the 2-minute mark, where songwriter and guitarist Nigel Chapman slows things down to take a look inward and sing “could it be me?” a number of times while also posing the question, “what if it’s you?” Cool little dynamic in this section.
