Before we learned that Sam Smith had been chosen to pen the theme song for the latest 007 sequel, Spectre, it was Radiohead who were thought to be the favorites to provide the new theme. Ultimately we got “Writing’s On The Wall,” instead of something new from the UK alternative rockers.
Today Radiohead leader Thom Yorke has revealed that his band did indeed write a song for the new James Bond film. In the SoundCloud description, Yorke says:
Last year we were asked to write a theme tune for the Bond movie Spectre.
Yes we were. It didn’t work out, but became something of our own, which we love very much.
As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it.
Merry Christmas. May the force be with you.
