Spoon’s Gimme Fiction is turning 10 and to celebrate that special mark the band have announced that will be releasing a deluxe reissue of the album. Due December 11th on Merge Records, the reissue will come packaged as double-LP, double-CD, and digital versions.
Along with the 11-track original record (remastered by Howie Weinberg using the original tapes), fans will get a second disc filled with 12 tracks-worth of never-before-released demos from those sessions; the digital version includes an additional 9 bonus songs. The accompanying full-color book includes a recounting of how the album was made plus photos from that time. The LP package will also include 24″-36″ poster. No matter what you get, it’s all golden!
To help build that anticipation, Spoon have unleashed a demo of “Was It You?”, which is noticeably different thanks to a funk-tastic guitar lick garnishing their classic song. Hear it below.
