This month will see the release of Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings, the accompanying album of previously unreleased Kurt Cobain demos that go along with Brett Morgen’s doc Montage of Heck.
This time our latest preview of the album releasing on November 13th is an early, rough demo of the Nirvana track “Been A Son.” What’s most notable about this cut is, in this very short clip we hear Cobain playing the riff on an unplugged electric guitar and blurting out some lines that would later make way for the lyrics we know today.
Check it out below.

The soundtrack will be available as a 13-track CD and a 31-song vinyl release; both will be available digitally. A CD edition of the extended version will also accompany the Blu-ray and DVD releases of the film, out the same day.
