Eryn Allen Kane has released a new track, delivered via BET’s Being Mary Jane. This song is as beautiful as you would expect from EAK, starting off with a wonderful piano accompaniment to her solo voice that soon ushers in an oh-so-very-cool trumpeting part before flourishing into this big, ever-ascending and glorious outtro.
The track features a lot of Chicago artists providing support, with Will Miller serving as co-writer along with providing horns, Marrow’s Macie Stewart and Lane Beckstrom playing piano and bass, respectively, and Peter Manheim on drums. The song was co-produced by Kane, Miller, and Liam Kazar (also of Marrow).
I’ve already heard it five times during the time I’m writing this; it doesn’t usually take me this long, but this one’s justified because when you hear “Piano Song” you’ll also realize that all you’ll want to do is devote your complete attention to it. In my most humbled opinion I have to say, Eryn is the best voice out there.
