The 25th anniversary of A Tribe Called Quest‘s People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm is upon us, and the band is celebrating the moment by reissuing that iconic debut album. The special edition release will feature the tracks remastered from the original tapes along with an extra collection of remixes, off which we previously heard Pharrell’s take of “Bonita Applebum.”
Today we receive J. Cole’s remix of one of the best Tribe tracks ever: “Can I Kick It?” Cole’s spin is a lot groovier, trading the Jazzy finish on the original for a smoother vibe.
