What a way to start the week! Today one of our favorite singers Eryn Allen Kane released her latest single, “Slipping,” a wonderful song about a love that’s escaping her. It’s got tinges of Amy Winehouse, to the point where you’ll have to do a double-take to make sure you haven’t accidentally stumbled upon a rarity from the late songstress. But don’t get me wrong, this is all Eryn.
It’s got some heartache in the lyrics, but Eryn’s delivery with those harmonies in the backdrop and that lone guitar plucking along makes you wonder if she can keep that love from straying too far and hopefully she can get it back. Lord knows we all know that feeling.
