It’s been a long time coming but today we finally have important details on Elephant Eyes, Omen’s debut album. Three years after first announcing the project, the Chicago MC has officially announced the album to be released July 21st via J. Cole’s Dreamville label.
This Love & Hip Hop (Dreamville edition) parody trailer for Elephant Eyes that has the whole Dreamville team going against one another in a battle for LP’s release date excellently captures the sense of frustration that surrounded the making of this album. In the video, Omen feels slept on by the label leaving label executive Ibrahim Hamad stating “I’m just going to drop it and take all the credit. I’m going to just say it was a Dreamville thing.”
Check the clip above and keep your eyes peeled for Omen‘s Dreamville debut coming next Monday July 21st.
