Chance The Rapper continues to be a champion of the Chicago scene now with the announcement of his new festival Teens In The Park. The fest is curated by the Social Experiment lead singer and it will be held on June 24 with performances from fellow SoX member Donnie Trumpet, plus local artist Dlow, with more acts to be announced later. Some of the other features of the fest are breakdancing, jewelry-making, and graffiti art, courtesy of organizations including the Art Institute and the non-profit established as tribute to Kanye West’s late mother, Donda’s House.
The new festival will take place at Northerly Island and it is only open to Chicago youth aged 13-24, although adults can attend as chaperones for teens. Teens In The Park will run from 4.30-7.30 p.m., and you can RSVP for free entry now via LiveNation.
