The 2015-16 season will see Italian club AS Roma playing in home kits that took inspiration from the armor worn by Roman soldiers, with a design meant to create a powerful look on the pitch. The new shirt is in classic AS Roma red and features a unique new crewneck collar with a small split at the front, replicating the neckline on the iron chest armor worn by soldiers in the Roman army more than 2,000 years ago.
The sleeves’ cuffs are in the club’s traditional yellow, which features stripes running down the shirt’s flanks. A brand new feature for a Roma kit is the first-time-ever presence of the numbers on the back containing a graphic print tribute to the Italian capital’s heralded architectural wonders, ancient streets and vibrant neighborhoods, illustrating the strong bond between the club, the city and the fans.
The AS Roma home kit is available for pre-sale via the Nike Football App and ASRoma.it starting June 9th, and on sale from nike.com and Nike and AS Roma official retailers from June 11th.
