Check out the official trailer for the Rick Famuyiwa-directed film DOPE. Hitting theaters June 19, in this Sundance hit we see straight-A student Malcolm (Shameik Moore) surviving life in a tough LA neighborhood as he makes his way to a future of higher education until “A chance invitation to an underground party leads him into an adventure that could allow him to go from being a geek, to being dope, to ultimately being himself.”
The film stars Zoë Kravitz, Forest Whitaker, Tony Revolori, and Blake Anderson (Workaholics), and includes cameos from rappers like Vince Staples and Casey Veggies. This film, which Pharrell Williams executive produced the film and for which he contributed tunes for the soundtrack, also marks A$AP Rocky’s big screen debut. Check it out above.
