Last night we were in the building at THE FADER FORT Presented by Converse to check out our hometown’s biggest rising star, Chance The Rapper.
Accompanied by his band The Social Experiment, Chano performed a set that showed off his natural talent and overwhelming charisma. The set list included Acid Rap fan-faves like “Cocoa Butter Kisses,” “Chain Smoker,” “Pusha Man” and “Favorite Song,” a 10 Day throwback in “Brain Cells” and even current-era band song “Sunday Candy.”
The whole show was electric and the vibes felt around Fader Fort are practically indescribable. The Social Experiment have really become as essential and indispensable to a Chance The Rapper concert to a point where you can barely remember one without them, but you wouldn’t want to anyways even if you could. Chano himself has become a real Master of Ceremony, commanding a crowd to live in the moment and have the concert experience that they desire and deserve, urging the crowd to jump whenever necessary and reminding them/us “this concert is yours, this moment is yours.” With Chance The Rapper on the mic there’s only one thing you should ever expect: utter dopeness.
