Puro pinche Mumford, bro! (Don’t mind the PoD inside joke there)…
Mumford & Sons have announced their new album will be released on May 4th via Glassnote Records and it will be titled Wilder Mind.
The follow-up to 2012’s Babel was revealed on the band’s website and it will be a 12-track effort. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the band dropped a bit of a bomb by dropping the fact that they will do a Bob Dylan and “go electric” and that new album will feature “U2-sized guitars, synths, spacey mellotrons, and even some drum machines.”
Frontman Marcus Mumford declared:
“We felt that doing the same thing, or the same instrumentation again, just wasn’t for us… We’ve got a broader taste in music than just that.”
