Singer-songwriter José González served as musical guest on a game show in his native Sweden recently and he took the opportunity to perform a cover of 90’s classic “Waterfalls.” González’s take on the TLC track is a good folky reimagining that, as Stereogum points out, seems to take a similar approach as Bette Midler’s recent rendition of it from a few months ago.
González would also go on to perform that night a cover of John Lennon’s “Woman,” which you can find after the jump.
While I’m not all that familiar with José Gonzalez, this performance is pretty brilliant. See it above.
