One of our favorite bands The Orwells made a splash when they made their American TV debut on Letterman, so much so that David Letterman himself still remembers it fondly. While appearing on last night’s Regis Philbin-hosted episode of the Late Late Show, Letterman and band leader Paul Shaffer were discussing their favorite moments and went as far as pointing out that Orwells performance as one of those that stand out above the rest.
The whole story and how he talks about it shows the impact that a great band with a brilliant sound can have on people. Letterman tops it off saying “After all these years, something like that really tickles me,” Letterman said of the performance.” See it below.
