Kendrick Lamar was last night’s musical guest on Saturday Night Live, keeping with tradition by performing two songs throughout the night. The current king of Hip Hop demonstrated exactly why he’s so well regarded in the scene by delivering unforgettable performances.
The first song was his latest single “i” (above), a track highly benefiting from having a live band last night, but the black contacts-wearing Kendrick was still the man to highlight thanks to some sweet dance breaks and an intense vocal delivery. For “song 2,” Kendrick made way for collaborator Jay Rock and performed their track “Pay For It.” Kendrick was ferocious in this performance as well; see that after the jump.
