Vic Mensa made his very anticipated return to Chicago last night in front of a sold-out crowd at the Metro. Vashtie, Oreo, Towkio and Leather Chords did a great job in helping open up the show for Vic. They definitely got the crowd more than ready. Vic Mensa hit the stage performing one of my personal favorites, “Wimme Nah,” a few hours after doors opened.
The SaveMoney rep didn’t waste anytime during his set as he continued to perform joints off of INNANETAPE as well some new tracks off of his forthcoming Street Lights EP. My favorite track off the four new ones he performed has to be “I Ain’t Trippin,” which can be seen above. That song will surely turn into a fan-favorite very soon.
It wouldn’t be right to be in your hometown and not bring one of your homies out, so Vic pleased the crowd and brought out Chance to perform what I think is the first live performance of “Suitcase.” Vic ended the show right by bringing out the rest of the SaveMoney army to perform “Feel That.” Check out some footage of that performance below.
