Peep the trailer to the film adaptation of Thomas Pynchon novel of the same name, Inherent Vice. The film comes to us from Paul Thomas Anderson, who enlisted Joaquin Phoenix to play the lead role of “Doc” Sportello. The premise for this movie is given right from the start with the following narration:
“If it’s a quiet night out at the beach, and your ex-old lady suddenly out of nowhere shows up with a story about her current billionaire land developer boyfriend and his wife and her boyfriend and a plot to kidnap the billionaire and throw him in a loony bin, maybe you should just look the other way.”
This one looks to be an exciting release and it’s especially great to see Joaquin Phoenix take on a role like this one. See the trailer above; Inherent Vice will hit theaters December 12.
