CBGB the club is no more but their Music and Film Festival is alive and running with the 2014 edition bringing Jane’s Addiction, Devo, and Billy Idol as performers. Other live acts headed to New York between October 8-12 include Surfer Blood, We Are Scientists, Duff McKagan, Dirty South, Macy Gray, and Robert DeLong, among others.
The films that will be screened at CBGB Fest 2014 include the Devo doc called Hardcore Devo Live!, The Winding Stream about the (Johnny) Cash and Carter (June) families, and a 30th anniversary showing of This Is Spinal Tap.
The festival will take throughout New York City and ticket prices for most events start at $10, while the Jane’s Addiction show on Sunday, October 12, will be free. Learn more about the festival at the CBGB Festival official site.
