The Foo Fighters are set to return with the release of their 8th album (due out in November) so it’s only right that today, August 8th (8/8) the band gives us all a preview of their new work. Recently the supposed cover art (above) for the new album surfaced online which showcases how the album was recorded in different cities across the country with landmarks representing each stop (and a big “8” right in the middle of it all).
The band’s official Facebook page said a big announcement was coming on Monday, and once the clock hit midnight they sent out the 8-second preview.
The Foos recorded eight tracks in famous studios of eight different cities and the making of which will be the subject of an HBO docu-series, Sonic Highways. Hear the preview below.
