One of the most stylish teams to play in the upcoming Apertura 2014-15 season in Liga MX will be Pumas UNAM. The Mexico City club have revealed their Home & Away kits for the upcoming season and their design evokes their iconic look from the 1976-77 season when they won their first league title.
The home jersey is gold with navy accents, with the iconic “Pumas” logo prominently featured along chest with the new away kit reversing the look with a navy shirt and gold accents. Perhaps best of all, the shirt features an embossed UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico) logo on the left shoulder that pays tribute to the team’s strong connection with the university.
As a die-hard Club América fan I (sportingly) hate Pumas, but even I can’t deny that these are some classy and great-looking jerseys. The new Pumas kits will be on sale starting July 24 at Nike Stores, selected shops and through online retailers; see a gallery below.
