Jack White’s Issuing Rare White Stripes Live Recordings on Vinyl

Jack White - Vault Package

Rock God, Jack White and his record label, Third Man Records have announced their “Vault Package” series, which will see the release of a double-LP of rare recordings of The White Stripes live shoes titled Live Under the Lights of the Rising Sun. The recorded material was taken during the duo’s Tokyo 2000 shows and will be on black and red vinyl.

The album captures the entirety of both Tokyo performances, featuring covers of the 5.6.7.8’s’ (that night’s headliners) “I Walk Like Jayne Mansfield,” Iggy Pop’s “I’m Bored” and pre-White Blood Cells “Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground.” Hear a preview of the band doing “Hello Operator” live below.

The songs are “It’s Just Too Bad” and “Buzzkill(er),” the latter which can be heard below. This one will only be available to members of the label’s “Third Man Vault;” shipping 6-8 weeks after the July 31 cutoff for new members to join the club.
