Over the weekend, part 2 of Coachella, Beck played Coachella and before going to his latest single, “Blue Moon,” the storied musician added a short, acoustic cover of Arcade Fire’s “Rebellion (Lies).”
Beck tells the story of how on one rainy day he waited in line for 45 minutes to go into a bar near his home because he had a hunch that the wait would be worthwhile. He reveals what he first heard by then playing a verse from “Rebellion (Lies).” Before going into “Blue Moon,” Beck declared to the crowd: “You know, that little bar down the street sometimes has the best music. Don’t forget about that little bar.”
