To help commemorate the remarkable season the current FIFA Ballon D’Or holder is having, Nike has created new, limited edition boots: the Mercurial Vapor IX CR7 Special Edition.
This 2013/14 season, Cristiano Ronaldo has averaged more than one goal a game and became the quickest player in Real Madrid history to reach 200 goals for the club.
The boot itself is plain white up top, Ronaldo’s preferred color for footballing boots, and a special gold plating on the bottom. Premium detailing and a numbered heel highlight the limited run of this special boot. Ronaldo will wear the new Mercurial Vapor IX CR7 Special Edition on April 16.
One hundred pairs of the Mercurial Vapor IX CR7 Special Edition white boot will be available at Nike.com on April 8. See more pics below.
