As many of you would know by now, Feb. 9, 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ debut on American television via The Ed Sullivan Show. On the eve of that revolutionary occasion, Arctic Monkeys played New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden and decided to celebrate The Beatles by performing the song that introduced them to America: “All My Loving.” Their cover was much more slowed down and added distortion, swapping the (albeit great) bubble gum Pop for a more slow-dance-ballad sort of feel. Easily one of my favorite covers of this particular song and it sure merits a studio version.
