Arcade Fire (The Reflektors?) have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Charts. The indie giants’ Reflektor debuted at the top of the charts by selling 140,000 copies during its first week on sale. This was the first album for AF (previously only through Merge Records) that held major distribution through Universal and Capitol Records handling radio promotion.
Their last album, The Suburbs, also debuted at No. 1 after selling 156K copies in its first week on sale.
In other chart news, Eminem’s “The Monster” (feat. Rihanna) scored 373K downloads, beating Miley Cyrus’ title for ’13 singles.
All in all, it’s been a good week for POD favorites.
